Welcome to Academiq. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Academiq platform, including our website, mobile applications, and all related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using Academiq, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of the Academiq Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Academiq. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Platform after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
2. Eligibility and Account Registration
2.1 Age Requirements
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use Academiq. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you may only use Academiq under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms. Users under 13 years of age are not permitted to use the Platform.
2.2 Account Information
When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify Academiq of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach. Academiq will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these security obligations.
2.3 Account Integrity and Responsibility
You are solely responsible for maintaining the integrity of your account. This includes ensuring that all information provided is truthful, accurate, and up-to-date. You agree not to create multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes, impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity. Any attempt to manipulate the Platform, including but not limited to creating fake accounts, artificially inflating course ratings, or engaging in any form of deceptive practice, will result in immediate account termination and potential legal action.
3. User Conduct and Content Standards
3.1 Prohibited Content
Academiq is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and educational environment. You agree not to upload, post, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that:
- Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable
- Infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights of any party
- Contains software viruses or any other computer code, files, or programs designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware
- Promotes or provides instructional information about illegal activities, promotes physical harm or injury against any group or individual, or promotes any act of cruelty
- Contains misleading, false, or deceptive information that could harm other users or damage the reputation of Academiq
- Constitutes spam, including unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, or any form of solicitation
- Contains any form of hate speech, discrimination, or content that promotes violence or harmful behavior
3.2 Harmful and Misleading Content
You expressly acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for the integrity and truthfulness of any content you publish, upload, or share on the Academiq Platform. Publishing harmful, misleading, or false information is strictly prohibited and may result in:
- Immediate removal of the content
- Temporary or permanent suspension of your account
- Legal action, including but not limited to claims for damages
- Reporting to relevant authorities if the content violates applicable laws
Academiq reserves the right to remove any content that we deem, in our sole discretion, to be harmful, misleading, inappropriate, or in violation of these Terms, without prior notice.
3.3 User Responsibility for Content
By posting content on Academiq, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the legal right to post such content
- The content does not violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or publicity rights
- The content is accurate and not misleading
- The content complies with all applicable laws and regulations
- You have obtained all necessary permissions, licenses, and consents to post the content
3.4 Intellectual Property Integrity
You agree to respect all intellectual property rights. Plagiarism, copyright infringement, and unauthorized use of copyrighted materials are strictly prohibited. If you are an instructor creating courses, you must ensure that all content, including text, images, videos, and other materials, is either your original work or properly licensed for use. Violations of intellectual property rights may result in account termination and legal action.
4. Instructor Responsibilities
4.1 Course Content Quality
Instructors are responsible for creating high-quality, accurate, and educational content. You agree to:
- Provide truthful and accurate information about your qualifications and expertise
- Ensure that all course materials are current, relevant, and free from errors
- Not make false or misleading claims about the outcomes or benefits of your courses
- Maintain the quality and accuracy of your courses throughout their availability on the Platform
- Respond to student inquiries and provide reasonable support
4.2 Prohibited Instructor Conduct
Instructors must not:
- Upload courses that contain harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Engage in any form of academic dishonesty, including selling or sharing assignment answers
- Make guarantees about employment, certification, or specific outcomes that are not within your control
- Engage in price manipulation or unfair competitive practices
- Solicit students to leave positive reviews or ratings in exchange for benefits
- Share student information without proper consent
4.3 Revenue Sharing and Payments
Instructors who monetize their courses agree to the revenue-sharing terms outlined in our Instructor Agreement. Academiq retains a percentage of course sales to cover platform maintenance, payment processing, and operational costs. Payment schedules, thresholds, and methods are detailed in the Instructor Dashboard.
5. Student Responsibilities
5.1 Course Enrollment and Access
When you enroll in a course, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the course content for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:
- Share your account credentials with others
- Download or distribute course content without explicit permission
- Use course content for commercial purposes
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform
5.2 Academic Integrity
You agree to maintain academic integrity when using Academiq. This includes:
- Not sharing answers or assignments with others for commercial gain
- Not using course materials to cheat on external examinations or assessments
- Not claiming course content as your own work
- Properly attributing any information or knowledge gained from courses when used in academic or professional settings
5.3 Interaction with Instructors and Other Students
You agree to interact respectfully with instructors and fellow students. Harassment, bullying, discrimination, or any form of abusive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in account suspension or termination.
6. Payment Terms and Conditions
6.1 Course Pricing
All course prices are displayed in AED (United Arab Emirates Dirham) unless otherwise specified. Academiq reserves the right to change course prices at any time. However, price changes will not affect courses already purchased.
6.2 Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. When you make a purchase on Academiq, you agree to provide accurate and complete payment information. By submitting your payment information, you represent and warrant that:
- You are authorized to use the payment method provided
- The information you provide is accurate and current
- You will pay all charges incurred by you or any users of your account at the prices in effect when such charges are incurred
6.3 Payment Security
Academiq takes payment security seriously. All payment transactions are encrypted and processed through industry-standard secure payment gateways. We do not store your complete credit card information on our servers. However, you acknowledge that no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and while we strive to protect your payment information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
6.4 Failed Payments
If a payment fails due to expiration, insufficient funds, or other reasons, we may suspend or terminate your access to purchased courses until payment is successfully processed. You remain responsible for any uncollected amounts.
6.5 Taxes
You are responsible for any applicable taxes associated with your purchase. Prices displayed on Academiq may not include all applicable taxes, which will be added at checkout where required by law.
7. Refund Policy
7.1 Refund Eligibility
Academiq offers refunds under specific conditions to ensure fairness to both students and instructors. You may be eligible for a refund if:
- You request a refund within 7 days of purchase
- Your course completion progress is less than 10%
- The course content is significantly different from what was advertised
- Technical issues prevent you from accessing the course, and we are unable to resolve them
7.2 Refund Process
To request a refund, you must submit a refund request through your account dashboard. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If approved, refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days and returned to your original payment method.
7.3 Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds will not be granted if:
- You have completed more than 10% of the course content
- The refund request is made more than 7 days after purchase
- You have violated any of these Terms and Conditions
- The request is made in bad faith or as part of a pattern of abuse
7.4 Subscription Refunds
For subscription-based services, refunds are not provided for partial subscription periods. You may cancel your subscription at any time, but you will retain access until the end of your current billing period.

8. Intellectual Property Rights
8.1 Academiq Intellectual Property
All content on the Academiq Platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, video clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and software, is the property of Academiq or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The compilation of all content on the Platform is the exclusive property of Academiq.
8.2 User-Generated Content License
By uploading or posting content on Academiq, you grant Academiq a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the content in connection with the Platform and Academiq's business operations. This license continues even after you stop using the Platform, but only for content that has been shared with other users.
8.3 Copyright Infringement Claims
Academiq respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please provide our Copyright Agent with the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and its location on the Platform
- Your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using Academiq, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
9.1 Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.
9.2 Third-Party Services
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Academiq. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
10. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
10.1 No Warranties
THE ACADEMIQ PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. ACADEMIQ DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE FROM VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
10.2 Course Content Disclaimer
While Academiq strives to ensure the quality of courses offered on the Platform, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any course content. Instructors are solely responsible for the content they provide, and Academiq makes no representations or warranties regarding instructor qualifications, course outcomes, or educational value.
10.3 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ACADEMIQ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Platform
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Platform
- Any content obtained from the Platform
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
IN NO EVENT SHALL ACADEMIQ'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO ACADEMIQ IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Academiq, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Platform
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Any content you post or share on the Platform
- Any breach of your representations and warranties
12. Termination
12.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting customer support or using the account deletion feature. Upon termination, you will lose access to all purchased courses and content.
12.2 Termination by Academiq
Academiq reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Extended periods of inactivity
- Upon request by law enforcement or government agencies
12.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
13. Dispute Resolution
13.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
13.2 Arbitration
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the arbitration rules of the United Arab Emirates. The arbitration shall take place in Dubai, UAE, and shall be conducted in English.
13.3 Class Action Waiver
You agree that any arbitration or proceeding shall be limited to the dispute between you and Academiq individually. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
14. Miscellaneous Provisions
14.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published on the Platform, constitute the entire agreement between you and Academiq concerning your use of the Platform.
14.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect, and the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
14.3 Waiver
No waiver of any term of these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term, and Academiq's failure to assert any right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
14.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights and obligations under these Terms without Academiq's prior written consent. Academiq may assign these Terms without restriction.
14.5 Force Majeure
Academiq shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, pandemics, strikes, or shortages of transportation facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.
